The self-described "Aliencore" band, Rings Of Saturn is an excellent example of how mixing themes from science fiction with metal creates a unique niche in the music industry. If you're a big fan of bands like Beneath the Massacre, Obscura and others and bands, you'll likely love this album too.
It was a brand new album that was a bit different. Although it wasn't perfect, and had some song-structure issues but it was a fantastic attempt at a space-themed death/core that was technically sophisticated. ringsofsaturnmerch proved that metal music could be innovative, creative and technical and strong enough to be entertaining.
The second album of the band, >>Dingir, improved upon their previous work and improved their sound. The music was a lot faster, appealing and was more mature. Production was much improved which gave the album a professional sound. The lyrics got more complex and diverse The riffing was also more complex, as was the lyrics.
Since the release date of its third album, the group has continued touring extensively. The group has performed at many festivals, and has even toured the US at least a couple of times. They've also toured internationally as well, including a US Tour with As Blood Runs Black and an European Tour with AVERSION’S CROWN in early this year.
With the release of their fourth full length album"Lugal" Ki En the group has once more perfected their sound and brought it to an entirely new level. The album has a more mature style than Dingir and also contains certain elements that remind of the Embryonic Anomaly. The songs are more memorable and faster, but the quality of production is more sophisticated and refined than the Embryonic Acnomaly. It's a fantastic album from a band that is expected to continue rising up in the ranks of the underground metal scene.
